Supported Independent Living (SIL)
Focused on Care have a number of Supported Independent Living Homes across South East Queensland.
We are honoured to be able to provide these critical supports to our clients. We work extensively with our new SIL clients to ensure we are delivering client-centred and individualised supports to meet both their NDIS and personal goals.
We are continuing to expand these services and sourcing new homes tailored to the needs of the client and also matching each resident to help ensure a good fit. We also have a number of vacancies in our current homes so please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to talk more about our SIL services.
Specialist Disability Accommodation
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) refers to accommodation for people who require specialist housing solutions, including to assist with the delivery of supports that cater for their extreme functional impairment or very high support needs.
Short Term Accommodation
(STA) or Respite
Short Term Accommodation, including respite, is funding for support and accommodation for a short time away from a client’s usual home. It covers the cost of their care in another place for up to 14 days at a time. It’s often funded when their usual carers aren’t available, or for them to try new things.
